School health and PE classes are supposed to promote health—but some common assignments can unintentionally increase body dissatisfaction, weight stigma, unhealthy dieting behaviors, and eating disorder risk.

If a child is being asked to participate in weight- or calorie-focused activities, you don’t have to figure out what to say on your own.
